Physical, Dance & Movement Programs

At Kookaburra Early Learning we believe in the importance of using fun learning activities to develop children's coordination, balance, and confidence in an environment that is stimulating. Therefore, we have built our own mini Tennis/Soccer/Basketball Court and have further introduced:

Miss Jess’s “Physical Culture”

Classes where the children join in the fun of music and movement activities and challenges to keep them active and motivated while creating Awareness: of the body and mind, Imagination: for creativity, Movement: of the body.

Academy of Ace Tennis.

Once a week tennis coaching is provided to develop had-eye coordination by introducing the basic skills of being able to catch and throw a ball, and to develop ball control.

Miss Bec’s Outdoor program.

Physical activity is a key component to children’s learning and this is promoted through planned and spontaneous experiences that are age appropriate for each child. Miss Bec includes a range of activities and games to keep your child engaged, active and stimulated in her daily outdoor program. All staff have input into the outdoor program.

Yoga.

The children have embraced and thoroughly enjoy Miss Kristy’s Yoga program, creating a calmness and satisfaction throughout the centre.
