Our Pedagogy

The kookaburra early learning program supports each child to meet the Early Years Learning Framework outcomes.

 

Our program cycle consists of planning observing, analysing, reflecting and doing. It is based on daily learning as well as spontaneous experiences. Together with children, educators, community and family input we plan a program that is appropriate, educational, responsiveness to children ability, interests and furthers learning.

Our ‘Learning Boards’ provide a visual reflection of each day including all leaning experiences that occur. They are an effective way of communicate our learning to others and encourage input.

The process of evaluation is also an important part of our programming cycle and provides important feedback to our educators. This is done each day on our learning boards and our programming sheets.

Our assessment for learning is an ongoing process and we implement a flexible routine to accompany this. We acknowlage children to be confident individual learners.
